yesterday I realized I never finished playing Persona 3. Well finally Aigis is in my group now and she is so fucking cool, I can’t believe… (seriously, shame on me I never continue playing this super great game)

Her design is just badass and detailed as hell so I decided to challenge myself to draw her. It also was a nice chance to practice inking. But I want another sketchbook O_o this paper is shitty…

Maybe I will draw the guys persona a few times in the future. Does he have a own name? I mean the persona wiki says his name’s in the manga Minato Arisato and in the movie Makoto Yuki so wtf is his name?? even his persona has its own name XDD thats kind of confusing :’DD

Should I buy the ps2 version, too? looks pretty better than the psp version I currently play.

The Official Website of Chris Sanders: The Lost Boards, Part 2

In the opening minutes of The Croods we need to get an idea of what life is like for our caveman family.  In early development days we had the men out hunting and the women gathering.  This didn’t mean that the women had things any easier than the men.  This was a little sequence where Eep is picking berries.  The plan here was to have Eep doing battle with an extremely aggressive flytrap-ish botanical.  Eep likes this sort of stuff, she’s probably the most aggressive and certainly the most fearless of the Crood family.

*flail* I still haven’t seen this movie (I’m still kind of miffed that the early human models don’t have that Chris Sanders style/charm, though the animals seem right on the nose) but YGFJVLNIKJ CHRIS SANDERS’ DRAWINGS. So gestural and fun and gorgeous T_T

I straight-up ADORE these before-and-after shots that The Croods’ visual development artist, Arthur Fong, has been posting on his blog. To see the steps in-between, click here and here.

paper marbling

fill a tray with water. blow, fan, stir, dab, and drag paint or colored ink across its surface. put a sheet of washi paper on top to stain it with the floating art.

though called “turkish” paper marbling by europeans, this design technique was developed in east asia, central asia, and the islamic world. it is an important part of turkic, tajik, indian, and other asian and middle eastern cultures.
